Hello guys. Every year Brunei celebrates the National Family Day. If I am not mistaken, it is always in May, yes… Every May. So this upcoming July, the government entities with some other entities are going to conduct a POA, which perhaps stands for Plan of Action, in conjunction with the National Family Day celebration 2026. The event will start on Saturday, 4th July 2026 until Sunday, 5th July 2026 at the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex, in Bandar Seri Begawan.

The launching ceremony is expected on Saturday at 2:30 pm, which will be launched by the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports.

There are a lot of activities to be conducted which represent “family values,” such as information exhibitions and services; sharing sessions and workshops; interactive activities such as a Kahoot game; clinics and consultations; family activities; and entrepreneur activities.

Among the entities that are joining the event are CARe UBD; the Community, Welfare and Volunteerism Section of Yayasan; the Department of Community Development (JAPEM) for the Elderly and Pensions Section; Dementia Brunei; Employees Trust Fund (TAP); Wargamas Association; Ministry of Religious Affairs; Royal Brunei Armed Forces; Syariah Court; Royal Brunei Police Force; Department of Immigration and National Registration; Health Promotion Centre; Narcotics Control Bureau; Museums Department; Brunei History Centre and more.

There is also a Heritage Trail Bus programme where the public can gain knowledge while traveling around the heart of Bandar Seri Begawan and listening to the history of every selected monument and place nearby.
