A few years back, my workmate told me there is cheap Nasi Kandar at ABC Eats, which is located just behind the Mabohai Filling Station. I don’t remember how much it was. So after knowing that, a few days later I went there with my other friend just to try the Nasi Kandar. I haven’t eaten it. So it was my first time. I asked the waiter how to order the Nasi Kandar. So they guided me one by one.
There are two types of Nasi Kandar. Banjir or Not Banjir. It means you want the gravy poured full over the rice or not banjir means just a bit of gravy.
And the waiter asked, I want spicy or not. When I told him yes, spicy please, I thought they gave some chilli flakes or something. But he poured some spicy and red gravy onto the meal plate. And then I can choose either to fill the set with curry stingray, octopus/squid, and several types of chicken dishes.
Overall, for me it was good and delicious. And yesterday, I suddenly felt like I wanna eat it. So I bought it, by myself, just for myself. As my friend didn’t want it. They just wanted nasi katok. So, my choice was plain white rice with curry stingray, some veggies and fried chillies. Of course I requested from them for banjir type and spicy. It was, yes, still delicious and satisfied me. The price was B$6.00.
